The St. Andrews International School, Green Valley Island Communities System has a number of key aims:
All students who attend St. Andrews International School, Green Valley are a member of an 'Island'. Each Island is made up of students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
There are four Island Communities that are named after Thai Islands:
Island Community points
Island Community points are awarded to pupils by teachers for their academic work, effort, behaviour and other aspects of their school life. Island Community points are given to students in the form of a token that students deposit in their designated Island case. Throughout the year there are competitions, which are always conducted in the spirit of friendly competition and good sportsmanship, with opportunities being given for demonstration of excellence in: the attributes of the learner profile; academics, music, sports, behaviour and other areas.
Points are achieved throughout the academic year, but broken down with running totals being announced every half term. At the end of the academic year, points for each Island are totalled and the island cup is awarded to the Island with the most points.
Island Community T-shirts
Island Community T-shirts are available from the office for purchase and may be worn on days when there are assemblies and also on Fridays.
