The Year 3-6 Primary students get active during their annual Sports Day. Yesterday students competed to earn points for their house (island communities) and at the end of the day an overall champion was crowned. Every single student in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 took part and earned points for their island in sprint races, long jump, discus, shot put and relay races. There were also plenty of other fun activities taking place such as the egg and spoon race, tug-of-war and the highly competitive sack race! After a hard fought day of activity, competition and fun, there were only 35 points separating our teams. Samet were just pipped at the post by Phuket who won with an impressive 1065 points. It just goes to show that every point counts and every students’ contribution was important. Well done to all the Island Community leaders, PE staff, supporting parents, teachers and of course students who got fully involved to make the day a great success!
