It was great to see St Andrews School, Green Valley come alive again this term with the return of our students. The teachers have all been preparing for the year ahead and our support staff have worked hard throughout the holiday period to get the school ready. On the first day we all enjoyed the excitement and smiling faces of the students arriving for a new year. I am sure it will be another busy and exciting year here in Green Valley.
We start the year by welcoming 60 new students to our school and that sees our school grow to the largest it has ever been. In order to accommodate this we also have nine new teachers starting with us. Our new teachers have settled in very well and are all now very eager to meet their students and start teaching. There will be an opportunity for our parents to meet the new teachers at our ‘Meet the Teacher’ Cheese and Wine evening. This will also be a great opportunity to meet some of our new parents and welcome them into our community.
The term ahead will see us host the FOBBISEA (Federation of British International Schools of South East Asia) U15 sports games and have a pre-accreditation visit from our authorizing body CfBT (Centre for British Teaching). On top of that will be all the usual curriculum, sporting, drama, music, field trips and residentials to look forward to. We will keep you updated on all aspects of our school life through the website and our usual publications to parents. As always, if you have any issues at all, please contact your child’s teacher or the management of the school as necessary.
