Outside of mainstream course periods, EIP students receive intensive English instruction from a programme-specific English as an Additional Language teacher. These lessons are categorized into the four areas of language: reading, writing, speaking, listening. All students begin with lessons consisting of a rigorous blend of phonics, basic English vocabulary skills and English letter formation. In the EIP, students will learn all English parts of speech and be able to produce correct grammar in both speaking and writing. In addition to lessons, EIP students will also move through the Oxford Reading Tree program, Bedrock Digital Literacy Program and an online phonics program.
