Dutch stream visits Corbion and Le Bistro
On Wednesday morning, the students of our Dutch stream went on a trip to Corbion, a Dutch factory that develops and produces bioplastics worldwide. Mark and Martijn, both parents of students in our group, had organised a very interesting, engaging and fun tour around the plant and our students learned a lot of interesting facts about sustainability. At the end of the tour, all students even received a biodegradable cup and piggy bank to take home. In the afternoon, the students went on to Belgian restaurant ‘Le Bistro’, where they made their own ‘worstenbroodje’ (sausage roll) and enjoyed a typical Belgian lunch of ‘stoofvlees met friet’ (beef stew and fries). A great trip overall, and lots of thanks to Mark, Martijn and Peter for making this another unforgettable experience for our students.
