Team GV Swim Squad at 2Fast2Furious

Yesterday TeamGV Swim Squad had their toughest meet yet facing 17 other schools and swimming academies at Harrow Bangkok's 2Fast2Furious short course sprint meet. To be involved in such a big competition shows how far we have progressed as a team already and the aim of the day was to challenge Thailand's top swimmers.
We did that and more!
In the very first race of the day Namtan set the tone winning her heat in the 7-8 girls fly and the Panthers grew in confidence from there. There were some superb heat wins and some swimmers were fractions of a second from getting to the final. Swim of the day was Flore's explosive freestyle heat and she smashed her PB with a 15.85. It goes to show how tough the competition was as she missed the finals by 0.02 seconds!
As well as all of our swimmers did, the limelight was firmly stolen by our 7-8 girls! Leela reached all 4 finals and snatched bronze in the butterfly, Ivy stormed to 3rd in the breaststroke final (in which we had 3 swimmers including Amy from year 3 which is fantastic), and Tifenn took an incredible silver in the freestyle. There were over 90 swimmers in the 7-8 girls category so we are incredibly proud of their achievement.
James made sure that the boys didn't just take heat wins home but he managed an outstanding backstroke bronze.
Amazing Team GV Swim Squad we are proud of you! And thank you to our fantastic parent support.
