Y6 Explorers residential trip
Year 6 went trekking in the jungle and swimming in a waterfall in Mae Phim as part of their field trip linked to their unit of inquiry on 'Explorers.' The students continued their adventures with a boat trip to Turtle Island followed by a visit to the Sea Turtle Preservation Sanctuary under the Royal initiative of H.M. the Queen. We saw how the turtles were cared for before their release into their natural habitat and found out so many fascinating facts. We then moved on to a spot perfect for snorkeling where we saw lots of different marine creatures and corals. The trip culminated with a bbq on the beach, where in between playing the usual frisbee and football, our 'action-driven' students took it upon themselves to do an impromptu beach clean too!
