Full STEAM ahead at parents workshop
Our 'Full STEAM Ahead' PYP workshop for parents kicked off to a flying start with a full house of interested and excited parents wanting to learn more about the PYP approaches to learning and our STEAM initiative in the primary years programme. The parents enjoyed the chance to learn more by having the opportunity to learn together and share 'two stars and a wish' regarding the Approaches to Learning (ATL) that they see being developed at home along with the ATL's that they know need more nurturing at home. We had a blast following the design cycle and using the ATL while solving a STEAM Challenge. The challenge was that a structure needed to be made for a basketball to be held for more than 10 secs.
Thank you to all parents who supported this event with so much creativity and enthusiasm. Watch this space and the Primary Newsletter for announcements of the next PYP Parent Workshop.
