Green Valley musicians dominate at Bandslam 2017!

Band Slam Outstanding Performances for St Andrews: Last night 3 of our school bands took part in the annual Bandslam at GIS - 'D Alarm' from Year 6, 'Dangerous Dreams' from Year 8, and the Yr 10 GCSE Music group (Nam, Kan and Jenny). 'Dangerous Dreams' won the award for the Best Band (U13), with Jake Heron also winning an individual award for outstanding performer. Madee in Year 6 also won an individual award for her excellent piano skills. Well done to all who took part, the audience was incredibly impressed with our students and are already looking forward to seeing us again next year! Mr Ramsay, Head of Music

Rob Abbs the Music Teacher at GIS said “We would like to pass our congratulations on to all your students, as they really are all winners. Staff after the show came up to me and commented on how talented all of the St. Andrews Bands are - may music continue to develop and grow in both schools!"
