Head of School: Andrew Harrison
Andrew joined as Head of School in 2005. We benefit from his considerable experience spanning international schools in four countries, including a previous role in Bangkok. As well as being Head of School, Andrew has taught at all age levels within the school and filled numerous senior managerial roles. His career also includes experience in the UK, both in schools and in Outdoor Education Centres. Andrew is also proud to be a parent, with two children attending the school.
Assistant Head of School/Head of Secondary School: Kevin McGee
Kevin joined St. Andrews in August 2010 after 11 years working at two other international schools in Thailand, including seven years as an Assistant Principal. Away from the classroom Kevin enjoys participating in and watching sport as well as cooking and travelling. He is joined at St. Andrews by his wife and two children, who both attend the school.
Head of Primary School: Michelle Taylor
Michelle joined St Andrews in 2008 after working for over 18 years in a number of UK schools and international schools in the Middle East. She has successfully taken on a number of management roles including Head of English, Literacy Coordinator and Senior Teacher. In her role as Senior Teacher at St Andrews she was the Team Leader and was instrumental in assisting the whole school to achieve its Gold status in the CfBT (Education Trust) accreditation. In her free time Michelle enjoys swimming, cycling and playing tennis, as well as travelling in the school holidays. Michelle’s husband also works at St. Andrews and their two sons both attend the school.
Senior Teacher: Paul Gilbert
Paul Gilbert joined us from Highbury Grove School in North London where he was an Assistant Principal in charge of Behaviour. He has previously been a Head of PE in 3 Schools within the UK, Ethiopia and Brunei. Paul’s wife, Claire, also works at the school within the Geography and Careers Departments and both of his daughters attend the school. Paul is a keen sportsman, who enjoys travelling and loves all sorts of adrenalin experiences e.g. rollercoasters and off road motor biking here in Thailand.
Teaching, Learning and Assessment Co-ordinator: Ruth Greener
Ruth taught in the UK for ten years, including three years as Academic Tutor for Sixth Form, at a leading school and sixth form college in North Shropshire. Moving to Nepal in 2010 with her family, she taught English at The British International School of Kathmandu for two years, before joining St Andrews in 2013 to teach English and History. Ruth was Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator here for three years, and then took on the role of Teaching Learning and Assessment Co-ordinator in 2017. Her husband is Head of ICT at St Andrews and her three children attend the school.
IB PYP Co-ordinator & ICT integration Specialist: Rachel Mustovic
Rachel is originally from the UK and moved to Thailand in 2017 from Australia. She has been involved in international education for 20 years in a number of roles. In addition to teaching across all primary age groups as a classroom teacher, Rachel is an experienced Head of ICT and a Digital Educational Consultant who is passionate about the PYP. Rachel enjoys a variety of sports: swimming, scuba diving, travelling and reading. Rachel is here with her husband and has 2 daughters who attend the school.
Early Years Co-ordinator: Lauren Fellows
Lauren originally trained to be a teacher in Scotland and has taught Early Years in a number of places including Scotland, England, Kenya and now at St Andrews in Thailand since 2015. During her various posts she has gained valuable leadership opportunities ranging from Art Co-ordinator, Head of EAL, Early Years SENCO, Early Years Admissions and is currently working at St Andrews as the Early Years Co-ordinator. Some of her pastimes include snowboarding, running, football, cooking and travelling especially in the Far East.
Primary Maths Co-ordinator: Jenny Martindale
Jenny is originally from the UK and has been teaching since 2000 with a degree in Linguistics and English Language, aPGCE, TESOL certification as well as a Post Grad in Special Learning. Over the years she has taught in Hungary, India and Thailand taking on a variety of roles throughout the school. At Green Valley she is currently working as a Reception teacher as well as being the Maths Co-ordinator for Early Years and Primary. She loves walking, yoga, travel, reading and spending time with her husband and two children.
Primary Pastoral Co-ordinator: Yann O’Connell
Yann is from the UK, having taught in England for 5 years before coming to Thailand. He has experience teaching a range of Primary age groups and teaching French. He is excited about starting his new role as Pastoral Co-ordinator as well as continuing his work in developing and improving PSHE across the primary school. In his free time he enjoys a range of sports, travelling and over-priced socks.
Key Stage 3 Co-ordinator: Aisling Mahon
Aisling has taught in Ireland, the UK and Malawi. In her previous roles she has had responsibilities including KS3 Coordinator, Head of English and Literacy Coordinator. She moved to Thailand in 2016 to teach English, with her husband Lee who is Head of Whole School PE. In her free time Aisling enjoys cycling, music, reading and travelling.
Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator: Nick Frost
Nick has taught for over 28 years, the last 18 in an international setting. During his teaching career he has been Head of Biology and Chemistry as well as Head of Science at St. Andrews. Nick is now enjoying time in his lab teaching IB Chemistry, IB physics and Science. His role as KS4 coordinator is a new challenge he began in 2015.
IB DP Co-ordinator: Andrew Emery
Andy is from the UK and taught Geography there for seven years, as well as having the role of Progress Manager (Head of Year 8) for 180 students. St. Andrews is Andy’s first experience of teaching in an International School, and he is enjoying being part of our community in Thailand and successfully leading the IB Diploma programme.
Whole School Science Co-ordinator: Ed Thorp
Ed joined Green Valley in 2011 after 9 years teaching science in Bristol, UK. He has a degree in Marine Biology but is passionate about all areas of science, so much so that he is now Head of Primary as well as Secondary Science. Each year he coordinates the successful ‘Science Fair’ event at St Andrews where local and Bangkok schools are invited to compete. Ed is a keen chef, photographer and appreciator of music.
Primary Literacy Co-ordinator: Emma Dusting
Emma is from the UK, and arrived at St Andrews in 2012. She has experience of teaching throughout Primary and is currently teaching Year 3 as well as being the Primary Literacy Co-ordinator. In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs and spending time with her family
