The St Andrews, Green Valley LEAP Programme

セント・アンドリュースインターナショナルスクール、グリーンバレー校のLEAPプログラムは、生徒の英語力習得を促進することを目的とした、1年間限定*の英語サポートプログラムです。学校生活に慣れ親しみ、学習面、社会面、情緒面でサポートを受けながら、同時に英語力を伸ばし、数学、科学、文学、人文科学、芸術、体育などの主要カリキュラムをスムーズに履修できるようにしていきます。

生徒たちは、LEAPを通じて、個々の学習ニーズに合わせた英語学習体験をすることができま
す。LEAPの専任教師は、リーディング、ライティング、スピーキング、リスニングをはじめと
する総合的な言語サポートを行うと同時に、学校の主要科目担当教師と連携をとり、主要な学
習内容に関するアカデミックな英語の知識を徹底的に深め、全カリキュラムへの移行をスムー
ズに行えるように取り組んでいます。

LEAPプログラム受講生は、学校の生活と文化に十分に溶け込んでいくことができます。日々
の課外活動から遠足、演劇や音楽会など、さまざまな場面で英語力を発揮するだけでなく、創
造性、コミュニケーション能力、高い思考力を追求し、向上させることができるのです。

Music

Music plays an active role in the curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities of the Primary and Secondary school, and the goal of the Music department is to create a love and appreciation for the subject. From learning about percussion and different beats, to reading music and writing their own songs, students are able to immerse themselves in all opportunities that Music offers. All students study Music from as early as Nursery. In Year 10 – 11, students can opt to complete the IGCSE Music course, and in Year 12-13 they can choose to study IBDP Music.

Design & Technology

Our Design & Technology workshop enables learners to identify, consider and solve problems through creative thinking, planning and design, and by working with different media, materials and tools to produce a made product. Students have the opportunity to learn and develop both traditional hand making techniques as well as modern technologies incorporating CAD and CAM.

Visual Arts

In art, craft and design at St. Andrews International School Green Valley, pupils explore visual, tactile and other sensory experiences to communicate ideas and meaning. They work with traditional and new media, developing confidence, competence, creativity and imagination. They learn to appreciate images and artefacts across times and cultures, and to understand the contexts in which they were made. In art, craft and design, pupils reflect critically on their own and other peoples work, judging quality, value and meaning. They learn to think and act as artists, craftspeople and designers. They appreciate the role of the creative and cultural industries that enrich their lives.

入学資格

LEAPへの参加申し込みは簡単で、どなたでも参加できるようになっています。オンライン認
知能力テストと、お子さまのCEFRレベル判定のための簡単な英語テストを実施していただき
ます。CEFRがA2までの生徒は、LEAPプログラムへの参加資格があります。

LEAPプログラムはYear 5以上の生徒が対象です。

料金：

LEAPプログラムの料金は、学校の授業料に加えて必要となります。これは、お子さまが得ら
れる充実した国際教育とともに、お子さまに寄り添った個別サポートをご提供させていただく
ことを意味します。

した、1年間限定*のプログラムです。

*プログラムによる評価が適切に終了していることが条件となります。

LEAPへの参加基準は何ですか？

お子様の英語のレベルを把握し、必要なサポートを提供する、誰でも参加できるプログラムを
用意しています。また、お子さまがカリキュラムをうまく利用できるように、学習プログラム
がお子さまに合っているかどうかも確認いたします。

生徒の評価はどのように行っていますか？

当校の教師陣は、ケンブリッジ英語検定を含むさまざまな形成的評価と総括的評価を用いて、
生徒の進歩状況を把握しています。

子どもが数学、科学、文学、人文科学の分野で最新の知識を身につけられるよう、どういった配慮がされていますか？

生徒は全員、それぞれの言語能力と必要性に合わせた目標を持って、主要科目を学びます。

子どもはどんな風に他の生徒と一緒に学校生活になじんでいくことになりますか？

全生徒の体育、美術、音楽、課外活動の授業はもちろん、昼食時や休み時間も、本校の生徒と
一緒に過ごします。また、本校の生徒として、討論大会、音楽コンサート、演劇公演などにも
参加することができます。英語が上達するにつれて、本科授業の回数も増えていきます。

宿題は出ますか？

はい。毎週宿題が出され、さらに自分で学習するためのオンラインツールも利用できます。

1クラス何名いますか？

私たちは、一人ひとりに合わせた教育という理念を大切にし、それをサポートするクラス編成
をめざしています。そのため、1クラスは最大20名となっています。このことにより、教師は
子どもたち一人ひとりを個人的に理解し、最大限に成長を促すことが可能となります。
